I understand the concept for electic guitars. Using the trem causes string windings to bind, move, etc so locking machines make the tuner much more stable. But what about on acoustics? I am building one for a fingerstyle player who uses a lot of alternate tunings. Would locking machines be a benefit for this build? Thanks Dave |

I can give one example. A removable neck guitar with a two part bridge. You need locking tuners, a captive (?) nut, and a zero fret. Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nomxc5Cb7hA. I'm interested to hear what others think about locking tuners on traditional designs. |

Fast string changes And great when you're doing setups! The sperzels are pretty light weight, although a little robo looking. |
